About the Owner

Nikki DeShea Smith is the Founder of DeShea Designs, LLC.  After graduating from William Woods University, with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre and Accounting, Nikki began her career in lighting design as a lighting specialist and accountant with Little Stage Lighting/Nitenday Industries.  After seven years with Little Stage/Nitenday, eventually as their National Entertainment Sales Manager, she founded DeShea Designs, LLC.  With over 25 years in the industry, her expertise is extensive.   As recognition for her lighting designs, she has been the recipient of the “Theatre Technical Award” from the Live Theatre League of Tarrant County and two “Mendie” awards from Jubilee Theatre.  Nikki is the resident lighting designer for Hip Pocket Theatre and a member of their Advisory Board.
